I wanted to capture something deeply personal—a tradition that’s not just about food, but about family and love.  Every holiday season, my grandmother, my mother, and I come together to make tamales, and it’s in these moments that we bond in ways words can’t express. As we work, we pass down not just recipes, but stories, laughter, and the quiet understanding that this tradition connects us across generations. I chose the perspective of being at the other end of the table to draw you into the scene, as if you, too, are part of this tradition.
